Tyniec- Podgorki Tynieckie- March 17, 2010

On 17 March 2010 Zbigniew Nizinski from the Lasting Memory Foundation, along with members of the Association “Children of the Holocaust”, visited a burial site of several hundred Jews shot to death by the Nazis in Podgorki Tynieckie in summer 1942 and buried in two collective graves. The victims came from the vicinity of Cracow. The information about the events is being replenished.

 
Zywiec- March 16, 2010

On 16 March 2010 in Zywiec, the Lasting Memory Foundation partivipated in an open meeting with the city residents in the Żywiec Land Lovers Association's headquarters. Zbigniew Nizinski delivered a presentation concerning Jewish cemeteries and the unmarked mass graves of Polish Jews. The meeting had been organized by the Zywiec Scientific Association.

 
Cracow- March 15, 2010

The Jagiellonian University in Cracow organized an academic conference titled “Jews- memory and present”, which took place on 15 March 2010. At the opening, Zbigniew Nizinski from the Lasting Memory Foundation delivered a lecture and a presentation on the preservation of Jewish martyrdom sites as well as assistance to Jews during the Nazi occupation. The conference was held under educational and scientific guidance of Dr. Daniel Starzynski.

Lubelszczyzna- February 18, 2010

On 18 February 2010 Zbigniew Niziński from The Lasting Memory Foundation set off to Ryki and reached the last living witnesses to the unmarked martyrdom sites of Jews and their hiding places during the Second World War. The collected accounts will be a supplement of other accounts of the Survivors of the Holocaust from that particular region.

 
Radom- February 17, 2010

On 17 February 2010 Zbigniew Niziński from the Lasting memory Foundation met with 21 prisoners in Custody Suite in Radom. He carried out a presentation on the common history of Poles and Jews. The meeting took place within the framework of "Tikkun-Repair" program of the Polish Israeli Prison Service. The project aims at introducing the Jewish culture and engaging the prisoners in cleaning Jewish cemeteries. The Foundation also sourrounds with the memory the graves of the Righteous Among the Nations of the Wrold.
