On 8 January 2010 in Qiryat Gat, The Lasting Memory Foundation took part in a birthday party of one of the Survivors born near Janów Lubelski. Zbigniew Nizinski and Daniel Starzynski gave a speech concerning the assistance to Jews near Janów Lubelski.

The audience was shown a documentary which told the story of Mosze Hammer and his family from the interwar period, throughout the Holocaust, up until the family settled in Erec Israel. Almost all the Hammer family were killed in the Second World War. Only Mosze and his sister Nechama survived. In 1947 they immigrated to Palestine and started their own families in Israel.
