Jerusalem- Yad Vashem- January 10, 2010. |
On 10 January 2010 in Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem, Zbigniew Nizinski and Daniel Starzynski from the Lasting Memory Foundation carried out a presentation on the unmarked Jewish mass graves and the Poles who had rescued Jews during the Nazi occupation. Mrs. Vered, a singer of the Israel Prison Service music ensemble, performed several songs referring to the Holocaust. Most of the listeners were the Israeli guides, often traveling to Poland with the groups of young people. The presentation aroused their interest and encouraged to support the Foundation. At the end, we handed over a spoon found after the war in a forest refuge near Lublin. The Jews hiding in the refuge had been killed along with a Polish woman who provided them with food.
