On 9 February 2009 in Czeski Cieszyn The Lasting Memory Foundation carried out a presentation which took place in a building of Polish school. During the special classes they got acquainted with the history of Jews in Poland.
The lecture aimed to acquaint students with the places related with life and culture of Jews in Poland as well as with the unmarked sites and their martyrdom during the Nazi occupation. The presentation also concerned people who risked their lives to rescue Jews from extermination. Students asked questions about motivations and attitude of people who had saved Jews despite of the risk. At the end young people were shown the timetable of event s concerning the Jewish culture in Śląsk Cieszyński. |
