 On 15 May 2009, at the invitation of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland , the Lasting Memory Foundation took part in the ceremony of kindling Chanukah lights in the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. The first candle was lit by the First Lady- Maria Kaczyńska. The medals and awards were given on behalf of the President. Undersecretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Ewa Juńczyk-Ziomecka, reminded the guests that the tradition of lighting Chanukah candles by the head of state was initiated 3 years ago by the President Lech Kaczyński.

Hajnowka, Bialystok- November 25, 2009 |

 On 25 November 2009, the Lasting Memory Foundation carried out a presentation “Following the traces of Jews in Poland”. The presentation took place in the Custody Suite in Hajnowka and the Penal Institute in Bialystok. It mainly concerned the Holocaust, people rescuing Jews during the war and gravestone symbols. The meeting had been arranged by the Central Management of Prison Service and the Union of Jewish Religious Communities.

 The lasting memory Foundation organized a meeting between the witnesses to history and the youth in Serokomla School Complex. The audience was shown a presentation concerning the life of Jews in the Lublin area. Among the participants of the meeting were:
a representative of the Chancellery of the President - Malgorzata Zaluska, the Chief Rabbi of Poland – Michael Schudrich, the local authority representatives, the Holocaust Survivor Marianna Adameczek, representatives of the Association of “Children of the Holocaust” in Poland, a daughter of Feliksa and Stanislaw Adameczek (the Righteous Among the Nations) and Zbigniew Nizinski from the Lasting Memory Foundation.

 W dniach 26-27.10.2009r. w Areszcie Śledczym w Prudniku oraz Zakładzie Karnym w Głubczycach Fundacja "Pamięć, Która Trwa" przeprowadziła prelekcję "Śladami Żydów w Polsce". Spotkania odbyły się w ramach programu "Atlantyda" organizowanego przez Centralny Zarząd Służby Więziennej i Związek Gmin Wyznaniowych Żydowskich.
