In a School Complex in Wyryki, the Lasting Memory Foundation hosted a meeting between the Holocaust Survivor Zofia Kamionowska and the students. The youth listened to the story of a Jewish child rescued by a Polish family during the war. They were also shown the photographs of the burial places of the war victims commemorated by the Foundation.

In a penitentiary in Biała Podlaska, Zbigniew Niziński carried out a lecture and presentation on searching for and commemorating the people and places of the common history of Poles and Jews. He presented the graves commemorated by the Foundation as well as the figures of Poles awarded the title of the Righteous Among the Nations of the World. The attendees were told about the need for preserving the memory of the war victims and constant readiness to help other people.

Pustelnik – January 27, 2017 |
In a school complex in Pustelnik near Stanisławów, Zbigniew Niziński took part in the celebration of the Holocaust Remembrance Day. The students had prepared and presented the project on the extermination of Jews in Poland and the attitudes of people during the war. Afterwards, Zbigniew Niziński acquainted the participants with the history of the places of the murders of Jews located and commemorated by the Lasting Memory Foundation. The students were also told about the experiences of the Jews who had survived the Holocaust as well as the Poles who had been the witnesses to the extermination.

Wolska Dąbrowa – November 24, 2016 |
At the burial place of about 180 Jews – the prisoners of a former German labor camp in Wolska Dąbrowa – the Lasting Memory Foundation set up a memorial stone. The unveiling ceremony was attended by the youth from local schools and from Israel, local authorities, clergy and residents of Wolska Dąbrowa and the area.

Kaplonosy Kolonia – November 3, 2016 |
In Kaplonosy Kolonia, the Lasting Memory Foundation located and commemorated a burial place of approximately 70 Jews – men, women and children – murdered in 1943. Next to the grave we set up a memorial stone where the students from local schools, local authorities, clergy and residents gathered. The participants paid tribute to the dead with songs, poems and prayers.
